Nose Hair. Its gross, it really is. But its necessary. And I'm pretty sure you know why. The nose is where all the stuff that keeps you alive goes. Yes, the good and the bad. I'm mainly talking about oxygen, one of the most important mandatory elements to a person's life. The kicker is that oxygen more often than not contains tons of bad stuff like dust, smoke, or dust and smoke. Because of this, removing nose hair, much like removing ear hair, has to be approached in a fairly conservative fashion.
Your nose hair filters out a majority of the grime that resides in the air. They are also very important for your immune system, turning the bacteria in the air like colds and germs into things that help your body and your sinuses like boogies. Sounds appealing, right? It is, because without these nose hairs, you would get sick much more easily, and you would have a much more difficult time breathing, especially in climates that have a more aarid, less humid air supply, places in America like Nevada, Arizona, or New Mexico. Nose hair acts as a barrier from things that hurt you, which is the main reason why you must be careful in removing it. So here are some of my tips on removal.
Removing pesky nose hair is a diligent task which is most often best done simply with small grooming scissors or a specialized nose hair trimmer, and not plucking. This is definitely a facet of good grooming that follows a 'less is more' point of view. Plucking the hair will not only make it more difficult for your nasal passages to remove dirt and dust from your nose and the air you breathe, it could also damage your sinuses by removing the hair from a follicle that most definitely needs this hair to operate properly, or it can even cause nasal lesions, doesn't that sound horrible?
For this specific type of hair removal, I would suggest getting a small electric nose trimmer. Norelco is a good brand to stick with for any of your grooming needs. They make quality, durable trimmers of all types, and often you can replace the entire shavers for less than the cost of the replacement parts if you look in the right places. Make sure you trim in a well lit area, free of dust. You may experience a little bit of an itchy nose or tears, and this is due to the residual hair that is cut and trimmed in the process. When you are finished, blow your nose gently but thoroughly. It is in all seriousness an unnatural form of grooming that you might feel is very important, but the fact of the matter is that most men do not get excessive nose hair until around age 30, so be very careful and trim sparingly if you feel that your nose hair is a little bit unruly.
