Depilatories for men
Hair removal creams, which are known as depilatories, are products which chemically dissolve hair at the follicle, allowing it to be easily brushed or wiped off the skin. These creams come in several forms, including lotions, gels, aerosols, and roll-on products. Hair removal through the use of depilatories is usually effective for approximately two to five days, a fairly short term considering the side effects, which can include a very unpleasant smell, the possibility of skin irritation, or simply not working for some people. This method of hair removal is barely more effective than simply shaving in the short term, but can be used for hard to reach or troublesome areas, as well as in correlation with shaving. For some people, the hair will grow back "softer" than it did previously, which can make it easier to manage in the long run or with use of depilatories.
People with a history of sensitive skin should be extra careful when using depilatories and pay close attention to the directions that come with these products. The most commonly known depilatory and the only one that I will suggest is known as Nair for Men Speed Cream, and in my opinion is not more or as effective than shaving. If you have a large area of hair that you want removed (such as back, or chest), but dont care if it comes back as fast as shaving, you could give this product a try. There is a good chance of getting a chemical burn with any of these products, so make sure to try on a very small area at first to be safe. You also run the risk of burning your hands in using this or any depilatories, so make sure you use gloves when applying it. My advice is to stay away from these types of products because of complications as well as the low effectiveness in them.
